Beautiful Westport - August 2026
Myself & husband just back from a 5 night stay in Westport. We stayed in the Plaza. So pleased, it’s really a lovely hotel. There is a lovely atmosphere in the place. We stayed room 520, perfect. It was facing inwards to the roof garden. We were able to leave the window & door open. Bed was very comfortable. The duvet was too heavy for the very warm weather, my husband asked for it to be changed, it wasn’t a problem. Pillows were not bad.
Food in the restaurant was excellent, both breakfast & evening meal.
A real plus was the Plaza is only a 10 minute walk from the train station. No driving, so our 5 days in Westport & The Plaza Hotel was totally relaxing.

Birthday dinner - August 2026
I went to coveys for my birthday with my twin sister and our friends tonight, the food was absolutely amazing, we were all nicely stuffed after. the service was fantastic, our waitress evalina was such a great help and she was lovely to talk to, the atmosphere was just what I needed for my birthday. Thank you to all at coveys for a lovely night.

Marvellous Massage by Victoria - July 2026
Beautiful spa tucked away in the heart of Westport. An hour in the thermal suite topped off by the most relaxing lymphatic drainage massage by Victoria. I was made to feel so at ease and left feeling so relaxed. Thank you Victoria!

First class hotel - July 2026

Lovely hotel with excellent staff and service. At check in Kathy on reception recognised us as returning guests which was lovely. We had dinner in the hotel which was first class

Plaza Westport just gets better – June 2026

We have been staying at the plaza every May/June for at least 5 years since a big birthday and it maintains its very high standards in every aspect. Coveys restaurant in the hotel is superb with all food excellent and this year we found the steaks superb and better than many steak restaurants I have been to and their wine list is excellent and we enjoyed a reasonably priced south African red and New Zealand white, from the time we arrived staff are most helpful and courteous and this year our special mention is for Rosaleen and Suna in Coveys restaurant but great service begins at reception the moment you arrive.

Very enjoyable stay – June 2026

One of the nicest hotels that I've stayed in. The staff were very friendly and engaging. The bedrooms were large and very comfortable. The breakfast was very good with plenty to choose from. The food in the restaurant was also excellent and very reasonably priced. The swimming pool was also very good. There is also a spa centre, but we did not avail of this. The location of the hotel was very central to Westport.

Another enjoyable stay at the Plaza – June 2026

This is about the 14th or 15th time we have stayed at the Westport Plaza starting a way back in 2008. We find it a very welcoming hotel which is why we come back every year. The staff are excellent with nothing being too much trouble for them. The room we got was clean and very spacious and overlooked the courtyard. Coveys restaurant has a wide range of food and a lovely ambiance with excellent staff. The hotel is in walking distance from the town centre. I would highly recommend the Westport Plaza for a place to stay if you are planning to visit the lovely town of Westport.
