Great hotel in good location, staff very friendly and helpful - February 2026
Excellent hotel, we had a lovely spacious room with a bath. Very clean and well appointed with adjustable heat/AC and a really comfortable bed.
We ate in the restaurant- food and service great and excellent breakfast with buffet and made to order cooked breakfast which came piping hot.

A super hotel for a bridge trip with exceptional staff - February 2026
Myself & seventeen others from our bridge club spent 4 nights last week in the Westport Plaza Hotel. It is situated in a beautiful part of Ireland with Westport House Gardens and Greenway within easy walking distance. I really appreciated the staff who work in the hotel especially Claudia, Marian, Suna & Gabriel. They were so polite, attentive and efficient. It is the hotel with the best staff I have ever met. Every staff member was friendly & helpful and they couldn't do enough for us.
We had scones on arrival and the menu offered a gorgeous selection. The food was beautiful. The rooms were very clean, comfortable & spacious with water bottles added daily. We had lots of activities each day including a cookery demonstration with recipes supplied, bingo & the well kept swimming pool and spa.
We played bridge every evening in the large Dome Suite which easily catered for the approx. 144 players. There were daily prizes too and the games were well orgainsed. There was excellent live music in the bar each evening after the bridge.The final night we had a Gala Dinner followed by dancing to Kieran Donohoe, who had us all up on the floor with music we loved.
We had a wonderful few days and many of us have already booked a return visit for next year.

 

Perfect Break in Westport Plaza - February 2026
We’ve just back from a two-night stay at the Westport Plaza and honestly, it was brilliant from start to finish.
Breakfast was fab – such a wide range of choice and everything fresh and well presented. It set us up perfectly for the day. We had dinner in the hotel both nights and Sunday’s meal was so good we were actually reluctant to try anywhere else the second night! Thankfully we stayed put because it didn’t disappoint. Gorgeous food, great atmosphere… just fab.
Our room was beautiful – spotless, comfortable and really well finished. We paid extra for the Gold Experience and didn’t regret it for a second. Definitely worth it for that little added touch of luxury.
The staff really made the stay though. They couldn’t do enough for you. From housecleaning to waiting staff to reception, everyone was so friendly and welcoming. It genuinely felt like they wanted you to have a great time.
The leisure suite was wonderful too – such a lovely space to relax and unwind.
All in all, a fantastic stay. We’ll definitely be back!

First time to stay in the Plaza, had a lovely stay beautiful hotel and breakfast was delicious got our stay at a good price would stay here again.

 

Top Class!!! - February 2026
This a wonderful hotel with great facilities ,great location excellent food and wonderful friendly staff.The Breakfast has a great choice from the buffet or order from waiter definitely try the omelette.Great swimming pool and spa this hotel caters for all.Coveys Restaurant is a must with a good choice menu and great food. Rooms are spacious and comfortable we definitely will return.

 

Westports best hotel! - February 2026
What a fantastic hotel!! Kathy on reception checked us in quickly and upgraded our room to a suite which was amazing! A huge well equipped suite with lounge, kitchenette, fridge microwave and TV in both lounge and bedroom!! The bedroom was very roomy with an extremely comfy bed, and the whole suite was spotless with extra touches like robes, slippers, wine, water, chocolates and fudge!! This hotel really made our stay in Ireland one to remember. Breakfast was the best hotel breakfast we’d ever had and our evening meal in the restaurant was delicious! We are planning to come back to Westport later in the year and we wouldn’t stay anywhere else!! 5 stars from us and thank you Kathy for making our stay so special!

 

5 star excellent hotel - February 2026
Perfect location. Close to train bus shops pubs. Lovely walks.
Warm inviting reception area with friendly staff. The restaurant experience was wonderful, food was full of flavour quality excellent and portions where generous in size. The staff were all pleasant friendly and very accommodating.
The rooms where very clean and spacious tea coffee facilities was a nice extra to have in the room.
The spa was so relaxing I had treatments by a wonderful lady.
My stay was pleasant comfortable and I certainly will return to the hotel again.

 

3 night stay in January - January 2026
Lovely hotel in middle of Westport. Nice big room. Great value. Atmosphere in the hotel very friendly and staff so helpful. Must mention Suna and Monica. Dined in the hotel. Food very good.

 

Wonderful experience - January 2026
I had a wonderful experience and atmosphere was so welcoming and friendly . Edward was a brilliant host. The food and the drinks were so excellent. Would really recommend this place to anyone visiting Westport! I cannot wait to return and come here again.

 

Fabulous break away - January 2026
Had a really lovely few days at the Plaza Hotel in lovely Westport. Facilities are excellent onsite- gym, pool and spa. Lovely food at Covey’s restaurant. However the standout on this trip was the staff- absolutely fantastic-every one of them!

 

Excellent stay and brilliant service - January 2026
Stayed with a group of friends in the Plaza, very cosy and comfortable hotel. Wonderful food and staff. Very friendly and excellent service. Especially the waiters who looked after us Luke and Edward! Couldn’t be happier with our experience there.

A fabulous hotel. Definitely a step up from city hotel. Staff so friendly, helpful and professional. Food devine and a great variety to suit all pallets. Cocktails and drinks great too. Emanual was our waiter and was absolutely brilliant. He went that extra mile for us by making our visit so enjoyable. Would def recommend and will def be back.

 

Friendly, inviting. Amazing food on each of our five days. Very modern yet comfortable bedrooms - November 2025
We arrived in Westport train station and were met with a bus to convey us to the hotel. We were greeted with Tea, Coffee and fresh Scones on arrival. Check in was very busy but extremely well organised.
Have stayed in many places throughout Ireland but have never met friendlier staff in all parts of the hotel. No request was too much. We will most definitely be back!!

Really enjoyed our stay, can’t fault this hotel.
Central location, complimentary underground parking, kettle and coffee maker in room, complimentary water in room.

Far exceeded my expectations.- September 2026
Excellent stay. Beautiful room - 602. View of courtyard. Food was excellent and plentiful. Staff, especially Roisín on reception, were SOO HELPFUL. If only there was decent lighting (for makeup) in the bathroom, it would have been faultless.

 

Family birthday. - September 2025
Great meal. Excellent service with Emanuel. The food was lovely. Complimentary Bottle of Prosecco was very welcome. Lovely atmosphere. Very happy.

Perfect birthday celebration - September 2025
Myself and my family dined in Coveys tonight for a birthday dinner. We were promptly served by Emanuel who was great throughout the entire evening. The starters, mains and desserts were perfect, never left waiting long between meals. They brought out a lovely chocolate dessert , plenty of candles and singing for the 70th birthday. Definitely will be back 🤗

Midweek Break - July 2025
Beautiful room. Air Con extremely good. Even though we had a street room, the windows are very well designed to allow fresh air and minimise the street traffic . Black out curtains ensure a great sleep with a magnificent bed. Coffee machine available and a fresh bottle of water available each day. Lots of storage for your close and a safe added. Bathroom was large with a great size shower and an added bonus, a jacuzzi bath. Very quiet hotel. Have stayed here three times now. Love the cooked breakfast with lots of choices. Staff were very efficient and extremely helpful and friendly. I had a very very small issue with an extractor fan in the shower which was dealt with by the night manager, I think it was John and Kathy. The general manager was extremely apologetic for the noise from the fan. We had bikes for the Greenway and it's great to be able to lock them in a secure cage in the underground carpark. Now you see why we keep coming back to the Plaza.

 

Overnight stay - July 2025
The hotel was amazing so clean and comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly and dinner and breakfast was fantastic. Had a fantastic stay and hotel was top class .
