Padraig Kelly – Back of House Employee of the Year 2010
Also known as “ The bottlemaster” Padraig Kelly is a worthy winner of this prestigious award for 2010.  Padraig takes great pride in his work and is responsible for keeping the hotel entrance , grounds and car park clean , tidy and litter free. He also has the considerable task of recycling and sorting all empty glass bottles from our 4 bars and nightclub.  Padraig is a hardy man to be out in all weather throughout the year but always reserves a warm and friendly nature for everyone he meets and is more than happy to help his fellow employees and guests in any way he can.

Martin Keane – Front of House Employee of the Year  2010
“ Citizen” Martin Keane  is indeed a model citizen when it comes to a warm west of Ireland hospitality.  Martin is our walking encyclopedia and authority on all matters relating to Westport town and its hinterlands. He is one of the first of our many friendly faces that you will meet on arrival to Westport Plaza hotel. He offers assistance with luggage , information , messages and a host of other duties that he performs diligently each day as he goes about his work. Popular with both guests and  fellow employees alike it is no surprise that Martin became the front of house award winner for 2010.

Kasia Suliga – Customer Service Award 2010
Kasia has been voted by you – our guests – as the recipient of the Customer service award winner 2010.  Kasia recorded the highest total of guest mentions on comment cards , emails, thank you cards , and tripadvisor reports last year. This  comes as no surprise to us as everyday we can see Kasia’s helpful , friendly and warm personality in action as she interacts with all our guests at the busy hotel reception desk. Kasia is very conscientious and at all times presents herself with warmth ,calmness , and composure in delivering super service with a smile.

Janos Takacs – Overall Employee of the Year 2010
Janos Takacs is the deserving winner of our most prestigious award .  Janos works tirelessy behind the scenes on the preparation duties required to keep our very busy night club and bars in a state of constant readiness.  He also ensures that the nightclub is entirely cleaned from top to bottom after each opening.  The work is demanding but Janos is more than able and he approaches his daily routine with vigour and enthusiasm and always maintains a friendly and helpful manner to all that he has dealings with.  Well done Janos!
